Product details

CoEnzyme Q-10 100 is more than the finest, natural source of our body’s most critical energy nutrient (CoQ10). It also provides the world’s most sophisticated high potency B-Complex formula, including our absorption-protected natural B12 (Methylcobalamin), Pyridoxal 5’-Phosphate form of B6, as well as our unique Methyl Folate.

Thirty-five years of working with CoQ10 has taught us that no CoQ10 formula can guarantee its benefits without all the essential B-vitamins. Our CoQ10 also includes high levels of Vitamin C given the established relationship between these two vital protective nutrients.

CoQ10 is essential for all energy production and therefore, for life itself. Sadly, it is inevitable that our vital CoQ10 levels decline with age, stress, poor diet, health issues and the use of virtually all of the world's most frequently prescribed drugs. Clearly, modern life conspires to reduce our levels of this life-sustaining nutrient.

Further underscoring CoQ10’s importance, is that the healthy function of our body’s most hardworking organs (heart, brain, liver, kidneys, pancreas) requires the body’s highest levels of CoQ10.

It is this direct connection between CoQ10 and our most vital organs that provides an unparalleled opportunity to promote abundant energy and optimum health. This uniquely comprehensive and economical formula provides an exceptional opportunity to benefit from what many consider to be nature’s most important nutrient.

Key benefits

CoQ10 for Cellular Energy

CoQ10 is found in nearly every cell in the body, which is how its chemical name, Ubiquinone, came from the word “ubiquitous.” Inside the mitochondria, it carries electrons along the chain that produces ATP, the energy cells run on. The organs that work hardest, like the heart, liver, and kidneys, use the most energy and contain the most CoQ10, and because the body’s own production declines with age, supplementing helps maintain healthy levels.

A Fat-Soluble Antioxidant

CoQ10 also works as an antioxidant. Because it dissolves in fat, it sits inside the fatty membranes of cells and helps protect them from oxidation, and it helps regenerate vitamin E, another membrane antioxidant. The body constantly converts CoQ10 between its two forms: ubiquinone and ubiquinol, its antioxidant form. That same back-and-forth makes it useful both for energy production and as an antioxidant.

A Full B-Complex, in Coenzyme Forms

Each potency includes the same eight B vitamins, and several of them work in the same energy pathway as CoQ10. Niacin and riboflavin form carriers that deliver electrons to CoQ10 in the mitochondria. Thiamin and pantothenic acid help turn food into fuel for that process, and vitamin B6 plays a role in the body’s own production of CoQ10. Three of the B vitamins come in their active forms: B6 as Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (P5P), B12 as Methylcobalamin, and Folate as L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate.

Suggested use

Frequently asked questions

What is CoQ10, and what does it do?

CoQ10 is a vitamin-like nutrient found in nearly every cell. Unlike a true vitamin, the body makes its own, though production declines with age. Within the mitochondria, the cells’ energy “furnaces,” it plays a vital role in producing energy, and it’s also a potent fat-soluble antioxidant, making it doubly valuable to the body.

Why is CoQ10 so important for the heart?

The heart beats around 100,000 times a day, making it one of the body’s most energy-demanding organs, and it carries among the highest concentrations of CoQ10. Because the body’s own CoQ10 production declines with age, a daily serving helps maintain the healthy levels this hardworking muscle relies on, which is why CoQ10 is so closely associated with heart health.

Why might someone need to supplement CoQ10?

The body’s natural CoQ10 levels decline with age, and certain medications, notably cholesterol-lowering statins, are known to lower them further, because statins block the same pathway the body uses to make CoQ10. A daily serving helps replenish and maintain the healthy CoQ10 levels the body depends on for energy and antioxidant protection. As with starting any new supplement, check with your healthcare provider first.
