Theanine provides 200 mg of pure theanine – one of the most uniquely beneficial and unusual of amino acids. First of all, unlike other amino acids, theanine is not a building block of protein, but is almost exclusively found in the tea plant (Camellia sinensis) where it accounts for both its distinctive flavor, as well as its unique calming properties. Plus, because theanine can cross the blood brain barrier, it can deliver its beneficial properties directly to the brain and nervous system. Theanine has been shown to enhance alpha brain-wave activity, which is associated with a relaxed, but still focused and alert state. Theanine promotes the production of the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, which support relaxation and calm. The observation that the caffeine in green tea is less intense than that of coffee results from green tea’s abundance of theanine. In fact, theanine is often used to reduce the uncomfortable effects of caffeine and to support a relaxed state. Theanine can also help to diminish perceived stress and tension while promoting calm attention and focus. In short, Theanine naturally supports the brain and its neurotransmitters promoting calm, relaxed focus without drowsiness. Feel the difference!
Struggling with feeling anxious having to go to work as an essential worker, I bought this to try and help me stay calm and focused. The very first day I tried it I felt the difference! More alert and able to focus on my tasks. The real test came when I had to drive the freeway in area I wasn’t familiar with. I’m usually very nervous so I took my morning vitamins including this one and wow what a difference it made. I was able to focus on my surroundings better and get to my destination with no problems. I have been a long time viewer/customer and always say these supplements are a feel the difference reason to use them. Thank you Andrew!

Better than CBD oil!
I suffered from anxiety when I started going through menopause so I tried cbd oil and that helped tremendously. I tried valerian and that made me too drowsy. Then the coronavirus hit and we had to start wearing masks to work and that paired with my allergies sent me into hyperventilating inside my mask. I was getting anxiety with just the thought of going to work. So I decided to try Theanine and boy was I glad I did. On the first day I saw a dramatic difference. I was amazed at how calm I was and how alert I was. No need for the cbd oil anymore which was getting expensive. I’m glad I decided to try this product and will not be without. As with all Andrew’s products, it’s a try and feel the difference kind of thing which I’ve sworn by for years. Thank you Andrew!

Loving the calm
I didn’t feel psychologically un-calm but I felt physiologically un-calm meaning in the evening during rest and digest with certain foods and even with a slightly nervous thought, I could get skipped heartbeats. With high histamine, Tyramine, glutamate foods, I could even get a full afib attack, seemed food/wine related. After menopause these things stimulated me for some reason, physiologically I was on high idle. I read that theanine balances glutamate and GABA systems, and I felt my sensitivity was linked to too many glutamate receptors or some sort of imbalance whereas these foods and or heavy stress could cause excitotoxicity . this is not good for heart or brain! I’m connecting some dots and so far so good, no evening rest and digest nervousness. Menopause causes subtle changes and certain amino acids and other Andrew vitamins may be the key. In addition to many other Andrew supplements Especially magnesium and the B complex in essential 1, I Have had success with acetyl l carnitine and lysine. I’m going to try glutathione just a few times a week to further counter the invisible subtleties of aging before they create big heart or brain problems. Thank u Andrew!
