Product Information

Description

ANDREW LESSMAN'S Theanine provides 200 mg of pure Theanine – one of the most uniquely beneficial and unusual of amino acids. First of all, unlike other amino acids, Theanine is not a building block of protein, but is almost exclusively found in the tea plant (Camellia sinensis) where it accounts for both its distinctive flavor, as well as its unique calming properties. Plus, because Theanine can cross the blood brain barrier, it can deliver its beneficial properties directly to the brain and nervous system. Theanine has been shown to enhance alpha brain-wave activity, which is associated with a relaxed, but still focused and alert state. Theanine promotes the production of the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, which support relaxation and calm. The observation that the caffeine in green tea is less intense than that of coffee results from green tea's abundance of Theanine. In fact, Theanine is often used to reduce the uncomfortable effects of caffeine and to support a relaxed state. Theanine can also help to diminish perceived stress and tension while promoting calm attention and focus. In short, Theanine naturally supports the brain and its neurotransmitters promoting calm, relaxed focus without drowsiness. Love them!, Retired!!!?? have been using Lessman vitamins for years!
I love them! No stomach issues or smells the best in the market in my opinion.

Surprised, Ladyorena I was quite surprised that I did actually feel less anxiety after taking this supplement- who knew. I don’t like taking prescription drugs and for me, this worked way better. I just take it in the morning and feel more calm but it’s not like a drug. You just feel like your normal calm self.

Works great., Asian Lover I take it with my morning vitamins. It is worth buying cause it helps me with my issues that I have due to low serotonin.

Took this theanine before bed....slept really really well!, Marly I suffer from anxiety which leads to sleep problems....I've been taking melatonin before bed (and sleeping well) but recently read that it can lower dopamine and with low dopamine, you can feel anxious and I was often waking up in the morning feeling overly anxious......I had been taking a different brand of theanine with meals...but I was still feeling anxious......I already take many of Andrew Lessman's supplements but it's often difficult to know if a combination of different formulas is overload or maybe I'm not taking supplements correctly...... Ginkgo biloba which Andrew sells is supposed to help with anxiety too because it can help raise dopamine....but it still wasn't the missing link because I don't even know if I'm supposed to take it in the morning, evening, with food or on an empty stomach. Some supplements actually work differently if you take them at the wrong time or with food.I heard Andrew speak about theanine on a TV shopping network...I bought the smallest bottle on Amazon
so I'd get it quickly, just to see if it would work for me....He spoke about theanine being calming and read a few of the great reviews on his show.......People were sleeping better so I assumed they were taking it before bed. I thought I'd try taking it that way...along with my ginkgo biloba, I took one theanine and just a little bit less of my melatonin. I woke up feeling much calmer.....That was a much better way for me to consume theanine...right before bed...I slept great... woke up feeling much calmer than before...I guess I didn't
realize that taking theanine right before I go to sleep is how it works more effectively for calming down
and then not requiring so much melatonin in order to soundly sleep...I'm not sure it's this particular theanine that is so unique and special because how different can one brand be from another...but I will stick with this brand...simply because it seems to have been an effective way to
wind down at the end of the day, fe
